Little Apple Dojo is an officially registered member of the United States Aikido Federation (USAF), and has been since being founded in the early 1990's as KSU Aikikai.

This Membership also makes us members of:

Daniel Hayes

Daniel Hayes served as chief instructor of Tatsumaki Aikido until leaving for Omaha Nebraska. Currently he is Yondan (4th Dan) and Shidoin (certified examiner) of the United States Aikido Federation. Dan originally studied under Peter Bernath at Florida Aikikai. He currently runs Chushin Aikikai in Omaha Nebraska.

Jack Hayes and Jayne Thompson

Jack Hayes Sensei and Jayne Thompson Sensei founded and served as instructors for KSU Aikikai until moving to Minnesota. In 1988 they began practicing Aikido under Peter Bernath Sensei of Florida Aikikai in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Currently they are both Rokudan (6th Dan) and Shidoin (certified examiners) of the USAF and run Cedar Rapids Aikido.

Peter Bernath Shihan

Tatsumaki Aikikai is connected to Peter Bernath Sensei, 7th Dan and Shihan. Bernath is the chief instructor of Florida Aikikai in Ft. Lauderdale, Fl. and is a member of the Technical Committee of the USAF.

Yoshimitsu Yamada Shihan

The USAF is currently headed by Yoshimitsu Yamada, Chairman of the Board, and a direct student of O-Sensei for more than ten years. Yamada Sensei is an 8th dan Shihan, and the chief instructor at the New York Aikikai
